Retail-Ready Checklists
Audio Checklist
☑ All audio files adhere to our Quality Principles
☑ All audio files are in .WAV format, have a minimum sample rate of 44.1kHz, sample rate is consistent throughout the pack, and a bit depth of 24-bit
☑ All audio files are peak normalized to -1.0 db
☑ All one shots are neatly cropped without extra silence at start or end points
☑ All loops are complete bar lengths
☑ All audio files have been thoroughly checked for clicks, crackles, and pops - at start points, end points, and throughout
☑ All loops, fills, and songstarters have tempo indications present in the file names
☑ All melodic or tonal content has key signature or root note indications present in the file names
☑ All audio files and folders conform to our standards of File Naming and Folder Organization
☑ None of the audio files are clipped (a volume level that exceeds 0dB) or overly distorted
☑ Micro-fades applied to start and end points of all samples
Preset Checklist
☑ All preset files are named and organized according to our File Naming and Folder Organization requirements
☑ All preset files have associated audio preview files (4 bars) that have been triple checked for accuracy. The audio preview file name matches the file name of the corresponding preset in every way except for the extension
☑ All previews should be mp3 as well as match the naming to the preset exactly
☑ Every audio preview file contains ONLY the sound of the corresponding preset. When the preset is loaded into the instrument, it’s the sound that should be heard immediately upon user interaction
☑ When interacted with, none of the presets exhibit clipping (a volume level exceeding 0dB) and none of them go “into the red”. The full range of the instrument must be checked, both low notes and high notes
☑ Pitch bend and mod wheel controls have been assigned and have an audible effect so that the presets are immediately playable
MIDI Checklist
☑ All MIDI files are in Type “0” format, with all note data contained on a single track
☑ All MIDI files are named and organized according to our file naming and folder organization requirements
☑ All MIDI files are named with one of five types: ARP, BASS, DRUMS, MELODY, or CHORDS
☑ All MIDI files have associated audio preview files in mp3 format that have been triple checked for accuracy. The audio preview file name matches the file name of the corresponding MIDI file in every way except for the extension
☑ Every audio preview file contains ONLY the notes of the corresponding MIDI file. When the MIDI file is loaded into a digital audio workstation (or DAW) the notes should sound identical to the audio preview heard when browsing the site
